Few changes since last visit. Mid week spring special now $40/night 2A powered. Some morning noise from lawn mowers & leaf blowers but park kept neatly. A big flathead caught from the nearby breakwall (too big to keep) & a few pan size brim. Fuel cheaper in town than in Port Macquarie..Nearby cafe/coffee shop now closed.

Great value dog friendly park run by friendly & hard working managers.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $28 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, separate bathroom, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, late checkout allowed, dump point, book swap available, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Basic playground, in average condition. Clean pool, pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- Great value. One of the last reasonable value parks in the area. Neat & tidy old fashioned park. 9 toilets & 9 showers in a recently renovated amenities block. Half the amenities could be used while the other half were being cleaned.
Disliked:- Slabs on some sites a bit small although sites were OK.. Probably built when vans were smaller. No specific disabled facilities but there were no steps into amenities, cubicles spacious and there were hand-rails in both toilets & showers. Dump point functional but not modern.
Parking:- Space for checking in for one van on the wrong side of the road opposite reception. A second van needs to stay on the street,
Local Information:- Pleasant waterfront & wheelchair friendly walkways within walking distance of the park. Great lookout over the area from North Brother mountain.

This park must have been laid out long ago when vans were shorter. Our van having a 6 metre body length fitted on the site with 30cm to spare...but it fitted. The amenities are immaculately clean and more than adequate for peak times because many van sites have been replaced with cabins so there are less of us itinerants. The swimming pool is well maintained with a shade cloth sail or two and the usual furniture. The dump point looks home made, difficult to use and the risk of an unhygienic episode is high. A 500 metre walk will take you to the surf club for a competitively priced, really good, breakfast. Sites are nice and flat; all are grass and plenty wide enough. I think it was about $37 per night for 2A. There are no ensuite sites. Parking at check in is ridiculous so stay on the street or just do the best you can. Good bakery in town but a bit far to walk. The place is well maintained. You'd return to this place.
